TOPCOPS is offering a 30 Hour Virtual Classroom with live instruction! Virtual Classes are four set dates and times taught by our instructors.

We are also offering a 30 Hour Online Course that is approved by the DMV. Online is a "Learn at your own pace" course. Students have 180 days to complete this course.

Approved by the State Department of Motor Vehicles, the completely interactive curriculum will focus on the rules and regulations of driving through interesting lectures with group discussions, games, and small group activities. In addition to covering all of the state-mandated requirements and preparing students for the driving permit test, this class goes above and beyond: Students will learn about how to handle a blow-out, how to change a tire, and what to expect and how to react on a traffic stop. Students will hear stories about the many different calls that our officers have been on, and even have a chance to wear a set of "drunk simulation goggles" to perform some roadside maneuvers….And there will be a short orientation for parents on how to be a "home driving instructor" for their teen.

The Drivers Education Classroom does not include the six hours of behind-the-wheel driving. The six hours should be completed within the first 6 months of the one year that students are required to hold their permit prior to getting a driver's license. TopCops likes the 6 hours done within first 3-6 months of holding the permit. Parents will have the option to schedule the six hours with TopCops Driving School.

30 Hour Virtual Live Classroom Instruction

Teach your teen to drive by the experts-Colorado police officers! This 30 Hour Driver Education course, required by the State of Colorado will be taught virtually. Students will log in on the 4 scheduled dates to attend live classroom with our instructors. Your teen will learn the rules of the road exclusively from Police Academy Certified driving instructors, School Resource Officers, and police officers who have received honors as the best traffic investigators. Approved by the State Department of Motor Vehicles. In addition to covering all of the state-mandated requirements and preparing students for the driving permit test, your teen will also learn about basic car maintenance, and what to expect on a traffic stop. There is even a short orientation for parents on how to be a "home driving instructor" for your teen. Prepare them for a lifetime of safe driving with TopCops Driving School instructors who have the 'real-life' advantage. Students must be 14-1/2 years old on the first day of class. This class does not include the six hours of behind-the-wheel driving. 30 Hour Classroom Fee $215.00 (This includes the 5.00 on line account fee)

Virtual Live Classroom One STOP All In 1 Premier Package

Self Paced Online Drivers Ed Course Premier Package

On-line Drivers Ed Package:

Our Online Driver Education package includes the Online Self Paced 30 Hour Course with upgraded narrative textbook, the in person written permit test, six hours Behind-the-Wheel training done in two 3-hour lessons andthe Drive Test.

This program meets the minimum State requirements in Colorado for the 30 Hour Class and 6 Hours BTW.

The Online 30 Hour Course offers flexibility and convenience where your student can go at their own pace. Your student will have comprehensive instruction that covers SIPE, defensive driving, traffic laws, controlling a car, zone of control, space cushion management, the SMOG technique, adverse conditions and emergencies, alcohol and drugs, responsibilities of operating a car, basic car maintenance and more. Our focus is on building their confidence through a positive approach to the responsibility of driving. Students have 6 months to complete the online course.

Two, 3-hour Behind-the-Wheel lessons are completed in a TopCops vehicle after the student has his/her permit and are ALWAYS private one-on-one sessions Driving instructors are active duty and retired Police Officers. Instruction includes: 1-Car Control and Road Management, 2-Risk Management and 3-Advanced Safe Decision Making.

When the student has held their permit for one year from date of issue you can schedule their Driver's License Test with us. Fee: $595.00 (this includes the $5.00 account fee)

6 Hours Behind The Wheel (One on One Lessons) + Driver Test

The package consists of six hours of private, one-on-one lessons and the DMV Drive Test. Students will take the DMV driving test with one of our friendly Police Officer instructors once they have completed their 6 hours and when they have held their permit for a full year from date of issue or beyond. testing with TopCops is less stressful, friendlier and faster than testing at a DMV office. Fee for 6 hour BTW plus Drive Test $435.00. (This includes the 5.00 on line account fee)

6 Hours Behind the Wheel (One on One Lessons)

This package is for students who already have their permits. (must be 15 yrs) The package consists of six hours of private, one-on-one lessons (students are never in the back seat "observing") with a professionally trained and experienced Police Officer as the instructor. The 6 hours should be completed within the first 3-6 months students holds the permit. Two three-hour lessons include: 1-Basic Car Control and Road Management, 2- Scanning and Decision Making and 3- Hazard Management and Highway Control . Drives can be tailored to the needs of the student, such as specific routes and areas, also specific skills you want focused on… just speak with the Officer Instructor. This is what makes our elite instructors head and shoulders above normal driving schools! Fee for 6 hours BTW only: $395.00. (This includes the 5.00 on line account fee)

Driver Test Only

This fee covers a single drive test. Permit must be held for one full year from date of issue unless tester is 18 years of age or older. If you need to re-take your test you will need to purchase a re-test by calling the office. Fee for Drive Test $95.00. (This includes the 5.00 on line account fee) There are two Drive Test Locations, Broomfield and Louisville.

Single BTW 3 Hour plus Drive Test

This package is a single 3 hour one on one driving lesson with an instructor and a drive test that will be scheduled separately. Permit must be held for one full year from date of issue unless tester is 18 years of age or older. You will be booking two appointments. Fee for Single lesson and Drive Test is $280.

Single BTW 3 Hour Drive

Single drive. Fee for one single 3 hour session $192.00.

Defensive Driving

Congratulations! Your student has received their Driver License- but you are still feeling unsure of their driving ability in snow, ice, heavy traffic, and of course the worry about distracted driving.

A tremendous value and potentially life-saving training experience! Advanced defensive driving is a two-hour experience that teaches new driver's skills for driving in challenging situations. In their own vehicles, students work one-on-one with instructors to practice maneuvers that cannot be taught during the behind the wheel lessons.

The program covers anti-lock braking, accident avoidance techniques, emergency stopping and car control, hands-on car maintenance, and much more.

The next step is TopCops Advanced Defensive Driving Training! Give your students the additional techniques they need to be expert drivers.

Advanced Defensive Driving is a one on one two hour session that includes;

ABS Braking
Tactical Decision Making
Situational Awareness
Evasive Driving - Hazard Avoidance, Obstacle Avoidance, Emergency Stopping
Precision Skills - Vehicle Control in Tight Maneuvers
Threshold Braking - Winter Driving Techniques
Distracted Driving - Texting while Driving

Drivers must have valid drivers license before taking this course. This training is done in the registrants vehicle. These courses are only offered on select days. Please contact the office for availability BEFORE creating account and making payment.

Fee for Defensive Driving $240.00.

Permit Test Only

This package is for students who have completed a 30 Hour Driver Education Course and want to take their permit test with TopCops. You must show 30-hour course completion proof at time of permit test, IF you did not take the 30-hour course with TopCops.

Permit Tests are administered at: Office Evolution in Louisville, 375 McCaslin Blvd. Ste 100 on our scheduled dates and times. Students are eligible to take a permit test once they have completed 30-hour coursework and are within 30 days of their 15th birthday or already 15 years of age. The permit tests are valid for 180 days or 6 months from date of issue. Students will need an appointment with TopCops to sit for the written exam.

Teens are eligible to obtain an instructional permit from the DMV when they are a minimum 15 years of age. The permit tests are proctored and entered into the DMV system by Dr. Melinda Groom. Dr. Groom is a retired BVSD principal and she is able to provide IEP and 504 accommodations if needed. We will need your students code from their instructional permit application that you received from the DMV website to enter their permit test completion. The link to the DMV is on our RESOURCES tab. Fee for Permit Test $40.

Refunds:

Topcops will refund money for services not rendered minus a $75.00 processing fee, (The Online Course Premier Package Registrants will get a refund of money for services not rendered minus a $100 processing fee). However, once you begin the service, such as attending one classroom portion, complete 8 hours of online classroom or complete one behind the wheel session, we will not offer a refund for sessions not completed. TopCops schedules officers in advance to be off-duty to provide these services, therefore we expect that you will follow through with the scheduled training. If you purchase a premium package and cannot complete all of the steps, the remainder will be forfeited. NO refunds after three months. No refunds if we can provide the service and it just does not work for your schedule. Drive Tests are Non-Refundable!
